Micayla Wynn is a NCPT through Polestar Pilates specializing in Pilates for rehabilitation. Micayla holds certification under the guidance of Kim Gibilisco. Micayla has studied and taught Pilates abroad under Polestar Asia. First teaching in Hong Kong at Isofit, she went to later assist with comprehensive examinations in Tokyo, Japan under the direction of Dawnna Wayburne. Most recently, Micayla has completed continuing education courses including: Anatomy in Three Dimensions, Pre/Post Natal Pilates, Oov Fundamentals and Pilates for Neurological Conditions. In 2017, Micayla was hired to lead Right Balance Pilates' Teacher Trainer program as their Master Trainer. Micayla most recently worked under Hospital for Special Surgery’s Rehabilitation & Performance department.
My teaching is designed with the knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, and a comprehensive understanding of injured populations. I have focused on conditions including: osteoporosis, joint replacements, disc herniations, scoliosis, facet syndromes, bursitis, tendonitis, stenosis, spinal fusions, labral tears, adhesive capsulitis, spondylosis, vertigo, diastasis recti and pre/post natal. I was originally drawn to research and study Pilates following a severe injury, where I first encountered the practice of Pilates for rehabilitation.
Teaching Philosophy:
The connection of a personalized Pilates experience helps with understanding individualized growth and progress through focusing on the integration of movement into daily lifestyle. Through the strong use of imagery, breath and prop variations Pilates can enhance the body’s potential.

I currently teach at Pilates Story while also seeing private clients upon rental space availability.
